“To maintain safety and program integrity, instructional techniques are provided only to verified agencies.”
Law Enforcement has the responsibility of responding to and managing persons on scene during all types of situations. DPTS was developed to assist those officers with skills that gain control over a subject without causing pain to either the officer, or the person to whom the skills are used on. The skill sets in DPTS are specifically crafted for defense of the officer and control of the person, with the best possible outcome to be determined by the officer. The commonality of movement in our skill sets help reduce training time and enhance the psycho-motor development of the student, reducing the need to practice repeatedly to maintain proficiency.
DPTS offers State Certified Trainer Courses as well as In-Service Training classes.
DPTS Police Tactics include:
De-escalation Training
The Multi-Block
Preferred Control-Escort Position
Secure Pat-downs & Control
Tactical Handcuffing (cooperative and felony)
Tackle Defense & Controls for Arrest
Defense Against Strikes
Baton Skills
DPTS was built to address a major problem faced by modern response personnel: many traditional tactics rely on pain, fine-motor manipulation, or high-injury techniques that break down under adrenaline.
Our system focuses on:
Gross-motor movement patterns
Medically reviewed positions
Low-injury control principles
High recall under stress
Techniques that protect staff and subjects
The result is a safer, more reliable approach to managing resistance, controlling movement, and minimizing the risk of escalation.
