Randy W. Duhamell brings over five decades of combined expertise in martial arts, law enforcement, and professional safety training. As the President and Founder of Duhamell Protective Training Solutions (DPTS), he has dedicated his career to advancing innovative approaches to personal protection and public safety. With 53 years of martial arts experience, Mr. Duhamell has served as a school owner, instructor, and event promoter through the Midwest. His achievements include being named National Full-Contact Trainer of the Year (PKC), earning recognition as a Top Ten Competitor in the Masters Division, and induction into the United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
Complementing his martial arts career, Mr. Duhamell also has 34 years of distinguished service in law enforcement. A graduate and class president of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, he served two decades with the Butler City Police Department, earning multiple commendations including the Life Saving Award. He later led as Chief of Police for the City of Woodburn and contributed as a member of the Allen County Homeland Security Council.
In 2015, DPTS was officially recognized as a Law Enforcement Training Board Provider Company for Indiana. Under Mr. Duhamell's leadership, the program achieved the prestigious "Train the Trainer" status, the highest certification awarded by the State of Indiana. In 2024, his program was further solidified with a U.S. Trademark Patent, marking a new era in safety and defensive training.
Mr. Duhamell is a certified instructor, lifelong learner, and nationally recognized safety training expert. His extensive certifications span crisis intervention, child advocacy, interview and interrogation, firearms, tactical communication, emergency response, and more. He continues to serve law enforcement, healthcare, and community organizations with a passion for equipping professionals and citizens with the tools they need to stay safe.
